It is the pool of life
This Northern industrial city, which for so long has defined the banks of the Mersey, is by no means the largest in the United Kingdom. It does not erect the titanic structures of Greater London, nor does it boast the Idyllic Mediaeval city walls and cobbles of York. But it is a place that all travellers should visit, as there is no city on earth quite like Liverpool.
