How gardening let us travel
As I step into my allotment garden, I am confronted with a sweet bird song. My raised beds are bursting at their seams with homegrown vegetables, and the air is buzzing with happy and grateful bees. I get to work, cutting lilac sweet peas and pulling up weeds that have threatened to overrun the cabbage patch. As I plunge my hands into freshly sieved compost, I could be a million miles away.
