Exercising my right to be part of the elections back home
In 2017, while I was in Australia, the right to vote abroad became a possibility for the 900.000 Chileans living overseas. Of those, around 57,5% have spent 20 years or more in the place where they currently are. However, their interest in Chilean politics and the desire of being part of the decisions made at home still concerns a good amount of them, including myself. That’s why I vote, and I will keep doing it even if I’m in Tombuctú.
