5 INSTAGRAMMABLE PIECES OF PARIS

ONLY 5 MINUTES AWAY FROM EVERYWHERE

If you’re in Paris, you really can’t go wrong with a picture no matter where you go. Give your insta a ‘local Parisian’ feel with some original locations that you might usually walk right past. I’ve been here in the city for a little over three weeks now, and I’ve found some super cute and unique ideas that I absolutely have to share!

Here are 5 of my favourite Parisian photo ideas you can find in Paris that you NEED to go to, like, now.

1. ANY STREET SLIGHTLY OFF THE MAIN ROAD

Paris is known – well, all of Europe is known – for having the cutest, incredibly dainty and quaint streets, making them very instagrammable! Take a quick 5-minute walk and scout out some good streets, set up your tripod and self-timer, and there you have it! However, be mindful of your personal safety - there will be cars. I found a very slow street for my photos. This photo was taken on the street right next to Shakespeare & Co. (featured in number 3). From my experience, by moving just a couple of streets down from the main roads, you’ll find the perfect, picturesque spot.

2. THE TRAIN STATION

Chances are, if you are going anywhere in Paris, you are going to be using the Metro. While you wait for the train, take a photo! The vibes are SO Parisian and chic.

3. BOOKSTORE OR BOULANGERIE

Okay, I did this photo at Shakespeare & Company, which, by the way, you NEED to go to when you’re in Paris. But really, any bookstore or boulangerie (bakery) would be so cute! To be honest, I am most likely going to recreate this at a boulangerie, because bakeries are most definitely one of the staples of Paris. There is no shortage of either in Paris, you could create a month-long content strategy off these alone!

4. A PARK OR FOUNTAIN

When I stayed in Paris, there were parks about a 10-minute walk (at most) from me in about every single direction. A simple sit and backwards glance pose looks amazing on a bench, or on a ledge of a fountain. I picked a pretty fountain between two roads, which doesn't sound particularly glamorous, but it was beautiful with flowers in the background! It’s surprising how beautiful Paris can be when you think outside the box.

5. A MUSEUM, CHURCH, OR HISTORIC BUILDING

Paris is not short of beautiful architecture. You can choose to take your photo as I did, I at the Louvre or other tourist hotspot – but with a little bit of exploring, I discovered so many other buildings with this grand structure, making them ideal photo spots! Check out the churches and museums near you, and you never know what you’ll find. You may even find the perfect spot down one of those little side streets.

There you have it, the instagrammable pieces of Paris within easy reach of everywhere. Don’t forget to tag us in your photos!
