There is something different about working overseas with people from your same country or with similar cultures than with a new one. It’s a particular kind of synchronisation that only happens when you’re able to communicate with others without having to rethink every action and express yourself in your own natural state. At least that’s how I felt while working for El Quincho, an Argentinian BBQ restaurant in the centre of Christchurch, New Zealand.
