June 2023: Letter from the Editor

Proudly owning your path.

Did you picture your life differently from what it is now? When you look back, do you feel much regret about something that happened or something that didn’t happen? We all feel like it from time to time. But it’s so important to realize that the good choices, as well as the bad ones, all the accidents and planned moments, every surprise and disappointment, they have all worked together to make you who you are now and make your beautiful life just the way it is.

There’s so much learning in every experience we go through, for good and for bad and, this month, I want to ask you to get in touch with your experiences, to look back at your path and proudly say thank you for everything it showed you.

And, of course, our amazing writers are doing the same. Through sharing their own path with us, this month’s incredible group of Life Lovers will take you with them through Falling in love with Bangkok, Experiencing San Diego's Unbeatable Luxury: Its Nature, and learning about an inspiring group of women farming Seaweed in Zanzibar.

Through the path they walked, we’ll all get to travel and better understand the personal and deep aspects of their lives. Like, in this month’s cover story, “Migration & Belonging—A Matter of Sex”.

Here, we get to follow Beatriz’s story looking back to her life back home and after she moved abroad, and comprehending the key role that our gender plays in how we feel in different societies.

Later, we take the time to analyse the Gen-Z and their internal fight to be more eco-responsible at the same time as they’re true travel lovers by nature. It’s a fascinating analysis. And, as always, this issue is packed with practical, relatable and insightful tips to help us deal with imposter syndrome as freelance writers, to discover a travel and work formula you will love, to choose a film to watch on your nights at home and, a delicious recipe to prepare a Brazilian Corn Cake.

And, last but not least, this month we’re connecting with our inner child and the importance of playing more, and with understanding the powerful effects that Yoga can have on our mental health. You’ll love it!
