Do you know what the best part of Valentine's Day is? It's not the chocolates or the flowers, or even the fact that you can wear pajamas with cheesy hearts all over. It's that you get to practice self-love!
What do I mean by that? Well, it's simple — whether you're spending it alone or with a loved one, there's no better way to get into the spirit of love than by surrounding yourself with a little confidence booster. If we could all just be a little more intentional about loving ourselves, we'd be better able to get in tune with how incredible we really are.

If you're looking for a way to feel good about yourself this Valentine's Day, then check out these movies that are all about self-confidence and accepting yourself.
Legally Blonde
Legally Blonde will give you all the feels — the good kind of feels. It's about Elle Woods, a sorority girl who was told she was not enough. She's determined to prove everyone wrong and get into Harvard Law School. One thing that stood out most about this movie was Elle's ability to recognize her own worth and value despite what anyone else thought about it (including herself). It's such an inspiring story that it'll make you want to go out there and do something amazing.
Little Miss Sunshine
The 2006 film, Little Miss Sunshine, follows a dysfunctional family as they travel across America to enter a beauty pageant for the young Olive, who dreams of becoming a beauty queen. The movie is funny, heartwarming, and relatable. The movie’s main message is about accepting yourself for who you are and loving yourself despite any shortcomings or imperfections. It shows that no matter what you look like on the outside you can still feel beautiful inside and out.
Brave
In Brave, Merida has to get her mother to stop trying to control her life and understand that she is growing up and needs to make her own choices. It's one of those rare films that manages to be both entertaining and inspiring. It has all the action and adventure of a classic Disney movie, but it also manages to convey a message about self-acceptance in a way that will break your heart in the best possible way.
The movie shows how important it is to be yourself, even if that means going against the wishes of others because they are not always right. The message of the movie is clear: being yourself is good enough, and you don't need anyone else's approval but your own.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a fun, lighthearted comedy that follows Ferris as he skips school to hang out with his friends, getting into some shenanigans and having a lot of fun. But what makes this movie stand out is its message: that it's okay to take time for yourself.
We all need downtime and when we don't get enough of it. We can feel stressed, overwhelmed, and unhappy, but how often do we actually take time for ourselves to ease those feelings? Maybe once or twice a year? Or maybe never? This is where Ferris comes in: he teaches us all how to make time for ourselves without feeling guilty about it because he knows that taking time for himself is important. It's no wonder this movie has become such an iconic film.
Yes Man
Yes Man is about a guy who has lost all hope and is going through the motions at work, but then he meets someone who encourages him to say yes when everyone else tells him no. This change in perspective leads him on an adventure that changes his life forever.
The film is funny and uplifting, but it also teaches us something important: if you want something different in your life, you have to be willing to go out of your comfort zone and try new things. The Yes Man movie shows us how important it is not only to say yes but also how much fun saying yes can be. You don't have to be stuck in a rut where nothing ever happens; instead, you can make things happen by just being open-minded.
